The heartbeat of anti-racism is self-reflection, recognition, admission and fundamentally self critique… one either allows racial inequities to persevere, as a racist, OR confronts racial inequities as an anti-racist – there is no in-between safe space of ‘non-racist’ – the claim of ‘non-racist’ neutrality is a mask for racism.
(Ibram X. Kendi, 2019)
I work as a white woman alongside co-facilitators from different racial backgrounds to deliver learning and teaching offers centred around anti-racist activism and allyship at work.
Together we have formed a belief that working together as ‘mixed race facilitator pairs’ helps us to remain curious about the multiple perspectives of racism.
We also aim to model something important about the courage and clumsiness it takes to form a coalition, in order to break the silence about racism through dialogue and relationships.
This involves leaders taking time to build trusting relationships through an empathic and compassionate approach, to analyse their actions, and the impact on others.
What we provide
We have developed materials to provide webinars, key note lectures and online and in-person workshops ranging from one half day to four half days.
We have also developed a ‘train the trainer’ offer so that organisations can have their own facilitators to deliver our programme. We offer group coaching and organisational consultation to enable practice to be supported and embedded.
What people learn from our programmes
The sessions will provide an opportunity for participants to:
• Understand how our unique history and biography shapes us, each other and our culture and what this means for us as a practitioner in a team context and what it might mean for the people we work with and provide services for.
• Take ownership of our positions of power and privilege and how this is informed by other intersecting factors which shape our identity and how we relate to others.
• Exploring the individual, institutional, societal and global levels of complexity and structural inequality which creates a culture of racism, oppression and discrimination.
• Consider how to contribute to a revolution of allyship, which embraces the notion of actively becoming anti-racist in everything we feel, think and do, captured in a personal pledge or a team mission statement.
How we'll work together
We offer a free 30 minute consultation for us to meet and to hear what you need. We can then decide if we can provide what's required, and we can discuss our expectations and a working agreement.
We will then send you an individual proposed contract agreement for the work which sets out our independent terms and conditions and proposed costs.

I really enjoyed the workshops. I have lots to think about now and things I want to do to move forward.
Before this workshop I felt like there was a raincloud above me, feeling overwhelmed by the mention of racism and not knowing what to do about it.
Now I feel brighter, I have a way forward, I have the words to use and I have ways to build up my knowledge and understanding.
Thank you both so much.
The programme offered me much needed reflection space to bravely explore racism and to identify barriers to embedding and promoting anti-racism. It provided me with clarity and focus on where I want to go next.
The skill, knowledge, and expertise that the facilitators provided have been essential to my own development. Their supportive approach allowed me to be clumsy, brave, and open... and it really did feel like a shared load.
The reflection and theory have really challenged me to consider my own role as a facilitator and consider the impact my own actions will have on me and others. Although it was challenging to hear the systemic issues that we are all facing within the local authority I work, the network built of like minded people has been invaluable.
The facilitators had such a friendly approach to such a serious topic.
Although they were speaking in a light-hearted manner, they managed to tackle some hard topics and made it easier to have those difficult conversations.
My fees for our anti-racism offer
The fee for this service starts at £130 per hour and is dependent on the type and volume of work required. For example, a full programme will cost a lower hourly rate than a one off webinar or workshop.

(iii) If 7 to 14 working days’ notice is given, the organisation will be liable for 70% of the cost.
